LOIS:

Lois lives in a small town in New Jersey. She has been a Neil fan for about 25 years, but doesn't have a favourite Neil song - that's because she loves them all! Lois is in the process of writing a poem for my FANS POEM PAGE, good luck Lois, I'm looking forward to reading it when it's all done. Thanks!

Please E-Mail LOIS on:

auntlosha@aol.com

IRENE:

Irene is from the San Deigo/California area, and she has been a fan since she was 13 years old. Married with a 4 year old daughter, Christine, who loves "Mr Neil", Irene is a veteran of many Neil concerts including Live At The Greek.  She is very proud of her Neil Diamond related car license plate, and her new dog called Diamond, who she says is a "Diamond in the ruff."   A lot of Irene's LPs are now in bad shape [from all that use-but what a lovely way to go!] and she is building up her CD collection.  Irene tells me that she would love to hear from other Neil fans.

Irene's E-Mail number is:

 IRENE40@msn.com

3.USA

GAIL:

Gail has been a Neil fan for 30 years, since her college days.  She tells me that she didn't get to the Las Vegas shows in 1996; she was in Vegas in 1994 but unfortunately Neil was not. [Bad timing, Gail!]  As well as being seriously interested in the music of ND, Gail also loves Akitas dogs, she says they are wonderful, terrific dogs. So if you love the music of our Neil and have a soft spot for Akitas dogs too, then you and Gail have a lot in common.

Please E-Mail GAIL on:

Gpatte222@aol.com

BARB KIEFFER:

Barb tells me that she has been a loyal Neil fan since the early 60's and has seen Neil perform live in Cincinnati many times, over the last 25 years or so. She says that sitting in the front row and making eye contact with Neil is incredible! [Yeah! sure is Barb!] However, Barb goes on to say that she thinks seats in the first few rows elevated from the floor give a better view of everything and Neil can be seen at all times - even on the far side of the stage.

New to The Net, Barb would love other fans to E-mail her on:

gwtwwonk@aol.com

MIMI WILLINGER:

As a child, Mimi lived in the New York area that is familiar to Neil from his childhood days: the neighbourhood, the school, and 'the store'.  Mimi still lives in the New York area,  and is involved in running functions at her daughters' school.  She never misses a Neil Diamond concert in New York, and tells me that her daughters are driving her crazy waiting for the next concert. [Maybe some UK fans will join you there, Mimi?]

Mimi can be reached on:

SEPTMORN@aol.com

LIZ REYNOLDS:

Liz has been a fan since 1970, her first love being Cracklin' Rosie which remains her favourite Neil Diamond song to this day. Liz is a native of Birmingham, England, and she relocated to America in 1987. A veteran of over 100 concerts she says that British audiences are wonderful and uninhibited. [Well here in England we already know that, Liz! But it's nice to see it in print, thanks.]

Liz has an orange and white cat, works part time; and is writing a novel in her spare time.

Liz's e-mail number:

button@surfree.com

7. CANADA

 LINDA PALMER:

Linda, tells me that although she has been a Neil Diamond fan for years, it was 1989 before she got to see Neil, in concert, in Toronto; and his performance blew her away. [I can identify with that feeling, Linda!]  Via letters and the telephone, a friendship developed between Linda, and Liz Reynolds, and they eventually met at the Neil Chicago Birthday Party in 1991.

Linda's e-mail number:

trebllclef@golden.net

MIKE SMITH:

Mike is a young man and he says that not many young people are Neil Diamond fans. [Therefore;  I throw out a challenge to young Neil-fan visitors to this website to prove Mike wrong, and e-mail him. Also, of course, I totally disagree with Mike's comments about the lack of young Neil Diamond fans. Thousands of them come to Neil's concerts in this country, and I am sure that  it's the same at Neil Diamond concerts around the world! JB.]

The Hot August Night albums are his favourites, he tells me "they are a thrill!" He also mentions that he loves my Webpage a lot . [Thanks Mike]

Mike can be reached on the following e-mail number:

DEBORAH ANDRESON:

Deborah tells me that although she is certainly not a new Neil Diamond fan, she is new to all the many Web pages that she has found.  She continues: "Neil's incredible talent and popularity never really amaze me because he never disappoints his fans with the music he makes.  What does amaze me sometimes is that a man and his music can cross the continents and impact fans so deeply that we are brought together, whether it is meeting in person or having conversations by e-mail, with people we otherwise would never have met."  [Very true, Deborah!]

BETTY HILL:

Taking an 8 year old to a Neil Diamond concert is bound to create another fan, and it certainly did when Betty took her granddaughter to see Neil perform in 1996.   [Nice one, Betty.]

Betty says that she met another USA fan, Sharon, through Joe Imhof's Website, they became friends  and now intend to go to a concert together. [It's no surprise how many friendships are made between Neil Diamond fans - like minded people! I'm sure that Mr D is aware of  this!]

Betty's e-mail number is:

 BHill88903@aol.com

DORAN TATE:

Doran saw Neil perform in a small New York club, earlier than The Bitter End performances. She tells me that she liked the shy singer and started to listen to some of his music early 70s through late 80s. Jonothan Livingston Seagull was "her big thing" and from that point on she became a full-time Neil Diamond fan. [Wish I had been there that early too, Doran, you are very lucky to have seen Neil perform so early in his career!]

Doran's e-mail connection: (awaiting new number)

ROBIN JUNG

Robin tells me that she has liked Neil since she was 16 [Nice one, Robin.] She went to two concerts at the start of the '98 World Tour in the US  and she says that the concerts were AWESOME! You will see her concert review on my News/Reviews page.

Neil's 'pictures' on the  inside-back-page of Jean Scigliano's calender? - again Robin uses the term AWESOME! A fan in her mid thirties Robin would love to hear from Neil fans anywhere in the world.

 CINDY ARONOFF

Although Cindy fell in love with Neil's music when she was 9 years old, her first sighting of Neil was at The Greek Theatre - and she tells me that she was old enough to stand in the front row and scream and sing, laugh and cry for 2 hours of wonder, and listen to the "Tree People" doing the same behind her.

Cindy is a married lady living in Texas, and is an animal lover of the first degree - at the moment - 5 dogs - 4 cats - a cockatoo -  fish - and a rabbit.  [I'm not going to tell you what she wanted for Christmas or Hanukkah! JB]

Cindy can be e-mailed on:

DONNA GILBERT

Donna has been a Neil Diamond fan since 1972, and tells me that she saw Neil in concert in Nashville in December 1998, and that he was as fantastic as ever. [Agreed, Donna, his performances in the UK 1999 were incredible. Can't wait for him to come back!]

BEV ATKINSON

"One Saturday evening, nearly twenty years ago, I snuggled down in my cozy armchair to watch a movie entilted THE JAZZ SINGER.  Little did I know that that night would be the beginning of a more exciting life with the total awareness of this gorgeous talented man, NEIL DIAMOND.
I researched his life and have never looked back.  I have all his cassettes and videos. Many pictures of Neil taken during the past twenty years.  I love all of his songs, I guess if I had to choose favourites it would have to be SONG SUNG BLUE & BLUE JEANS. Other than this I enjoy downhill skiing in our winter months & playing golf in summer and during Canada's beautiful fall season." [Thanks, Bev, nothing I can add to that. JB]

CAROLINE ANDERSON

Caroline says, "I sometimes wonder if performing the same standards repeatedly over the years gets stale for Neil.  I suppose he can't feel totally 'into' it for every show.  But no-one would ever know it though, as he makes every person at each concert feel that there's no other place he'd want to be.

I performed with a band at my local club, last week, and we really had the place rocking. Apart from Neil, I'm partial to the R&R of the 70s and 80s."

BEVERLY NICHOLLS

Neil Diamond fan, Beverley, has written a book entitled: NO MAGIC WANDS. The description on the hard cover of Beverley's book reads:

"NO MAGIC WANDS is a non-fiction account of the ordeals encountered by the author, Beverly Nichols, as she struggles to survive numerous surgical procedures, and continual, worsening levels of pain and disability."

Beverely tells me that she suffers from Multiple Sclerosis. "BUT I am alive and kickin'. I detail my addiction to Neil's music in my book, beginning with an extraordinary sequence of events, which occurred in 1978. And that Neil Diamond's music and Neil Diamond made a life or death change in me.

The book is published and available through Xlibris.com. or on amazon.com. or can be ordered through any bookstore in most of the world."

[Beverley asks that other Neil fans write to her, and she says that she will reply as often as she can.]

HAROLD GOLDSTEIN

"I currently live in Florida, 'Home of the Chad'. I would love to hear from all Neil Fans, especially those from Lincoln High school in Brooklyn NY where Neil and I graduated from. I graduated in 1956 he in 1958. However; I am a ND fanatic since 1972. "Holly Holy" was the culprit. I am 62 yrs old and cannot get enough of ND.

My favorites: Canta Libre, Lady Magdelene, God only knows, Last thing on my mind, Once in a while, Gift of song, If you go away, I think it's gonna rain today, I'm the Dreamer, I'm glad you're here with me tonight, Long Hard Climb, If I couldn't see you again, Carmalita's Eyes, BE, and all of Jonathan. September Morn, If you know what I mean, I am I said, Juliet, Captain Sunshine, The sun ain't gonna shine anymore, Courtin disaster, and many more...

In NJ we had a splinter group of FOND that broke up a while back when each couple moved out of town. We used to follow Neil all over the U.S and some of us went to Europe to see him. We were at his SONG WRITERS HALL OF FAME INAUGURATION at the Waldorf. I think that was in the Mid 80's? He is an important factor of my life, and an inspiration of my writing. I can listen to him all day long and never tire."

Gwen Reynolds

Lynn has asked to be entered on this page, and tells me that she is probably the only Neil fan who has yet to see Neil in concert.

"Watched some TV performances, but nothing in person yet. I have been 'crazy' about Neil since I first heard his music when I was 13! The following year, I got my own 'record player' and could listen to Neil anytime without having to ask permission to use the family 'player'. I have been the source of much ribbing by my siblings and now that I am a mom, by my children, but hey, they know what to buy me for Christmas! I am currently trying to get my husband to buy me the ND collection.

I live in a small rural Georgia town and hope that I will one day see Neil live, in concert!"

DESIREE FLEMING
(Young fan)

Hi, My name is Desiree, and I have been a huge Neil fan pretty much since I was born. My mom was the one that first inspired me. I have been to 5 concerts so far and think they are the best ever.   My mom and I just got tickets today (2001) to go to a concert in Indiana. I am very very excited about it. Desiree is my real name.
I live in Illinois and none of my friends like Neil as much as I do.

[OK then, this is an open invitation for genuine young Neil-fans to write to Desiree, and 'talk' NEIL DIAMOND, JB]

Desiree's number is below:

Eugina Barnes

Hi, my name is Eugina. I have been a Neil fan since 1977. I have seen him twice in concert: Once in 1981 (in CA), and more recently in Raleigh, NC. The first Neil song I ever heard was "I am.........I said". When I heard that I just fell in love with the man and the music. My favorite Neil song (if I had to pick just one) is "And the Grass Won't Pay No Mind". The words and the music just blend in so well. Plus I just love the tone of his voice: it sounds so smooth and inviting. I hope every Neil fan gets to see him at least once in concert. I hope to hear from other Diamondheads from around the world.

My e-mail number is:
